1890
1955
Expansion of activities in the production and trade of refractory and insulating materials.
1960
MATHIOS is a key player in the big industrialization of Greece, building almost all refractory projects and setting up refractory and insulation material productions.
1986
The new management of the Company is leading it towards increased development and modernization.
1990
MATHIOS celebrates 100 years of operation.
1993
MATHIOS REFRACTORIES S.A. establishes affiliate BAU MARKET which runs the retail stores chain of Mathios products.
1994
MATHIOS is making a dynamic entry in the building material industry with its pioneering stone veneer products and a selection of modern architectural material.
2000
MATHIOS REFRACTORIES S.A. is listed at the Athens Stock of Exchange.
2002
Mathios becomes an international group with the establishment of the affiliated Company in Germany, MATHIOS GmbH located in Bochum.
2005
International expansion is continuing with the establishment of the affiliated Company in Sofia, Bulgaria; under the name MATHIOS A.D.
2006
Mathios takes control of IDEAL REFRACTORIES S.A. and unifies the production of refractory materials.
2007
Modernization of IDEAL REFRACTORIES S.A. with new furnaces and production facilities increases capacity and efficiency.
2011
Establishment of new production plant of MATHIOS stone veneer in Bulgaria.

2015
- Greek Export Awards: GOLD AWARD – ΤOP INDUSTRIAL COMPANY.
- Greek Export Awards: BEST INTERNATIONAL MARKET COMPANY.

2010 – 2012
Modernization of the Refinery of HEL.PE. In Greece

Lining of new Static Kiln for the calcinations of Alumina at the Aluminium of Greece
2016 – 2017
Engineering – Supplying of the refractory materials – Installation of the SYN 120 Shaft Lime Kiln of 600TpD in Algeria. Collaboration with QUALICAL
